公司籌建于1978年，1988年成立于中國臺灣省高雄市。2000年股票上柜，成為臺灣地區股票上柜的中央空調制造企業。
為了更好地服務于亞洲市場，堃霖集團分別于2000年在上海、2006年在江蘇蘇州，2009年在越南胡志明市投資重金，成立堃霖冷凍機械（上海）有限公司，堃霖冷凍機械（蘇州）有限公司、堃霖冷凍機械（越南）有限公司，形成了以4個專業制造基地，60余個銷售服務網絡，覆蓋中國各省區、越南、菲律賓、印尼、泰國、馬來西亞等地的亞洲戰略布局。至2024年初，堃霖集團注冊資金已達4190萬美金。

KUENLING was founded in 1978 and established in Kaohsiung, Taiwan in 1988, and was listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in 2000, becoming the largest central air-conditioning manufacturer in Taiwan.
In order to better serve the Asian market, KUENLING GROUP established KUENLING REFRIGERATING MACHINERY (SHANGHAI) CO., LTD. in Shanghai in 2000, KUENLING REFRIGERATING MACHINERY (SUZHOU) CO., LTD. in Jiangsu Province in 2006 and KUENLING REFRIGERATING MACHINERY (VIETNAM) CO.
